What do Fission Ceiling Tiles Look Like?
Zentia’s Fission ceiling tile is a white (‘Global White’), classic fissured panel. This popular directional fissured pattern refers to the direction of the pinholes on the tile’s surface. For the 600 x 600mm Fission tile, these pinholes change direction, whereas the 1200 x 600mm Fission tile has them running across its width.
We stock the Fission ceiling panel with a square edge detail. This has little to no impact on the overall performance, however the square edge tile detail is the most cost-effective option. Once installed, the design sits flush within your suspended ceiling system.
What are Ceiling Tile Perforations?
Perforations on a suspended ceiling tile are designed to optimise the panel’s acoustic performance. More specifically, these are small fissures that look like pinholes across the tile’s surface.

How to Install Fission Ceiling Tiles
600 x 600mm Fission ceiling tiles with a square edge detail can be installed in both 24mm and 15mm ceiling grids. To install your system, you will need to complete the following steps:
- Install your suspended ceiling grid – To start, you’ll need to construct your ceiling grid. Begin by fixing your edge trim around the perimeter of your room. Then interlock the remaining grid components until you form a secure structure.
- Install your Zentia Fission ceiling tiles -To complete your suspended ceiling, lift each individual tile through the gaps in the gridwork. Gently lower them into place and continue until your ceiling is complete. Don’t worry – your Fission tiles are secure within this structure.
